Devils Thumb Trailhead to Devils Thumb Pass is a 7 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Tabernash, Colorado that offers the chance to see wildlife. The trail is rated as difficult and is primarily used for hiking, trail running, and backpacking. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash. Heads up Co Rd 8 is closed so you have to detour on turn at the Safeway and follow the signs. Beautiful hike, not crowded on a Sunday. Hold-onto-your-hat windy towards the top of the pass. Plan to hike through to Nederland another time!
